风管材质的选择，对风管的施工质量也有很大的影响。一般而言为了保证风管的重量，需采用小板厚的风管，但除此外还需要综合考虑风管的尺寸和压力级别。从设计角度来看，值得注意的是一个系统可以同时存在几种对应于不同静压级别的风管板厚。

风管的横向连接有一定讲究，这种连接方式可以说是是延续风管长度的一种手段，还具备增强刚度及保持风管精确地横向尺寸的作用。通常横向连接的方式是角钢法兰连接，这种连接方式取决于壁厚，更取决于连接种类及板壁加固方式。

4、风管的纵向缝接合

4. Longitudinal joint of wind pipes.

风管的纵向缝接合方式可以根据实际情况，选择对应的方式。在中、低压风管中常常使用扣式咬口连接，对于矩形风管，联合咬口使用无任何压力级别，因此使用扣式咬口可以节省一道翻边工序，目前大多数的风管纵向缝接合都采用了扣式咬口。对于立缝和封盖式立缝可以使用铆钉、自攻螺丝、点焊、压凸凹痕等方法紧固。

5、风管的存放

预制好的风管，是必须要做好存放工作，以免受到二次污染。可将管口用塑料布等密封材料封住，然后将风管分门别类堆放好。在使用风管前，要注意进行彻底的清洗工作，确定板材表面无腐蚀，干燥后不吸尘。
